Mobilis : The First Voyage
Crisis threatens to overtake the fragile Nadir colony. After three hundred rounds the climate is changing, crops are failing and there seems no way to escape from the fury of the vortex, an eternal storm that surrounds the known world.
Few are left that have the expertise to sustain the endangered colony. The ruling Quorum has strict rules on how technology can be developed and applied.
None have ventured into the Vortex and returned to tell their tales. Yet now, an intrepid group of explorers, in an untested vessel, is sent to explore the unknown. Together, they will unlock the devastating secrets of Esurio.
Mobilis is the first in a two part series set on Esurio two thousand rounds before the events of the Shadeward Saga.
The launch date for Mobilis will be announced soon. It will be available in ebook and paperback.
About Mobilis
I’ve finished ‘Mobilis’! And I’m so sad to leave these characters behind, I’ve become really attached to this motley crew! I’ve really enjoyed this story from start to finish; particularly the varied female character portrayals – some of the character arcs were a real surprise. I was suspicious of them right to the end! I found the inner monologues of the leading ladies really believable and relatable.
Oh, Drew. So many questions answered, yet so many still unanswered! This book takes place two thousands rounds (years for us earthlings!) before Kiri, Zoella and Meru grace the scene. The ship itself is a marvel of believability and fantasy – we learn why it is so unusual and why it was built in the first place. We see the origins of the priestesses, the names, the places and so much more besides… Then there are the characters. If you loved the cast of Shadeward, here is Drew doing it all over again with another crew. Rest assured, if you’re a fan of Shadeward you are going to love this!
We’re not surprised anymore. Drew has done it again with an action packed novel filled with mystery, intrigue, adventure and a cast of characters you’ll love to hate and hate to love all over again. I didn’t want it to end! I was wondering how on Esurio we could ever warm to a new, albeit original, crew after the trials and tribulations of Captain Coran’s charges and what we went through emotionally with them. Drew has succeeded. Don’t miss this.
