  1. Excellent mega finale! 🙂

Will the intro music have a role in the audio books, by the way?

  2. “Your Best Shot” LOL!! Drew, your Oolite Saga was amazing, this new book will be even more amazing! Well done to you! I am really looking forward to reading it. 🙂

  3. Hey Drew – of course I’m excited about the book and glad you did this work – but also wanted to say thanks for helping to bring back Elite 4 by contributing a writers pack for the kickstarter!

  4. Excited now Drew. Congrats on the process so far!

  5. Great update Drew!

I plan to have the paperbacks ready for LaveCon if at all possible. The special editions, boxed sets and audio stuff will be released at FantastiCon.

How strange that LaveCon looks like being the first place we’ll meet in person huh? Really looking forward to it, I feel we’ve been through quite a journey together already.

    Right on Commander!

    Dan

  6. Superb update Drew and very informative. Really exciting times ahead. It’s been a pleasure to see your project come to fruition and I look forward to receiving my signed copy (Hey, you’re famous now. 🙂 ). I hope you won’t feel offended if I wait for my audio copy as I am still having problems with print.

If you do go ahead with a sequel I would like to think it would also be made available in audio format. I would still want a printed copy of course.

    • The audio version is being planned to be available for Fantasticon. Fingers crossed. More on that as the dates firm up.

  7. I can’t wait to start reading it, oh the anticipation – that refresh button is going to get worn out again on friday 🙂
I think you really want to make a sequel, probably about as much as I want to read it!
Am hoping that Frontier decide not to have an upfront licence fee but you agree on what percentage they get from the sales so that everyone can just get on and produce the best that they can without worrying about the finance (no kickstarter type pressure) and Frontier will get a stream of revenue from the books as well.
Good luck with your future exploits and hope to shake your hand at FantastiCon, if I can get through the crowd of fans.

    • Stay tuned on the sequel. We’ll see what Frontier has to say in due course.

  8. Wonderful update, full of information and angst! 😉

I am really looking forward to reading the book (there will be quite a rush to read things before LaveCon!) and also to shaking your hand and saying “Well done, sir!”.

    • Thanks Steph, it’s been amazing to have had fan support throughout this project. Can’t wait to see what you make of the end result. 🙂

  9. Great update again Drew, thank you.

I’m just going on leave at the weekend so the timing of the book releases is perfect 🙂 E:R is definitely first on the list to read; like so many people, really looking forward to it.

I’m really interested in your £35 pledge level now there’s more background etc in it. Do you think you might do a Frontier and allow pledge upgrades in the future?!

    • The guidebook will be available for general release once the backers have had a period of exclusivity.

  10. Thanks for the update.

For some reason I couldn’t take my eyes off those instruments in the background. One is clearly an antique telescope, one an antique pair of binoculars, but what is the third? It looks fascinating…

    • Hi Yotto,

The third brass instrument is a combined barometer, thermometer and hydrometer. 🙂
